Apples

  • Sufficient storage supplies of Markon First Crop Fuji, Gala, and Red Delicious Apples from Washington remain available
  • The season for MFC Golden Delicious Apples is beginning to wind down; MFC Granny Smith Apples are limited
  • Storage crop quality is good
  • FOB prices for large sizes will be low due to their abundance; small sizes will be more expensive

Broccoli and Cauliflower

  • Supplies are readily available; stocks are increasing to plentiful levels this week
  • Broccoli and cauliflower quality is strong
  • Markets are declining; contract triggers are off, effective Wednesday, April 26

Celery

  • Celery supplies remain limited
  • Industry-wide seeder issues continue to decrease yields
  • Expect limited stocks and elevated prices into next month

Green Leaf and Romaine

  • Supplies are readily available; stocks are increasing to plentiful levels this week
  • Overall, green leaf and romaine quality is very good
  • Prices are declining; contract triggers continue to fluctuate as markets adjust

Iceberg

  • Iceberg supplies are increasing
  • Quality and weights are improving
  • Market will decline this week and into next week as well
