Cucumber markets are escalating due to extremely limited supplies. Markon First Crop (MFC) Cucumbers are limited; packer label is being substituted.

• Mexican supplies are tight; cycles of cool weather are affecting yields in all growing regions
  • Growers are skipping the odd harvest day to increase diameter/sizing
  • Overall quality is good
• Import volume out of Honduras (into Florida) is snug due to less acreage planted this year; overall quality is average
• The Florida domestic season has started in a very limited manner; sufficient volume will be reached in early March, weather permitting
• Expect very high prices over the next two weeks
