The lime market will rise over the next two weeks due to heavy precipitation in the main growing region of Veracruz, Mexico.
Rainy weather, followed by warm temperatures, will increase stylar/end breakdown (a disease affecting the opposite end of the stem, appearing as a discolored, water-soaked spot)
Growers are sorting through additional raw product to meet demand
Small sizes (200- to 250-count fruit) will be limited; large sizes (110- to 150-count limes) will be more readily available
Elevated prices are predicted for the next three weeks
