UPDATE: TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS

October 7, 2026

October 7, 2026

Tropical Storm Isaias is strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico and expected to become a hurricane within the next 24 hours as it tracks north. While the forecast track and timing remain subject to change, the system is currently expected to make landfall late Friday or early Saturday. Heavy rainfall and potential flooding are anticipated across portions of the Gulf Coast and Southeast as the storm moves inland.

  • Three to six inches of rain are expected along the Gulf Coast beginning Friday, with some areas getting up to 10 inches
  • Areas across the Southeast, as far inland as Tennessee and the Carolinas, could see one to three inches of rain
  • Markon will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Isaias and provide updates as the storm tracks and regional supply impacts become clearer
