UPDATE: AVOCADOS

July 29, 2026

Pricing on smaller sizes (60- to 70-count fruit) has stabilized as supplies increase. However, markets for larger sizes (32- to 48-count fruit) continue to increase due to limited availability. To help reduce costs while maintaining supply, Markon recommends substituting 48-count fruit with 60-count fruit whenever possible.

Mexico

  • Large sizes (32- to 48-count supplies) continue to rise in price due to limited availability
  • Small sizes (60- to 70-count stocks) have stabilized and pricing has softened
  • No. 2-grade fruit is limited and may need to substituted with No. 1-grade stocks
  • Quality is good
    • Checkerboarding (uneven ripening within a case) has been reported
    • Current dry matter is 27% and will take fruit longer to ripen
  • Expect lower markets over the next four weeks

California/Peru

  • Yields will diminish as these seasons wind down through late August
  • Remaining quality is good; checkerboarding (uneven ripening) has been reported
  • Expect stable pricing through the end of both seasons
