- Markon First Crop (MFC) Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine Lettuces are available; Markon Best Available (MBA) is being substituted as needed

- All head lettuce is now shipping out of the Salinas Valley
- Recent warm weather matured heads earlier than expected in Huron, Salinas, and Santa Maria, creating a supply-exceeds-demand market
- Quality ranges from fair to good
- Varying weights and densities are being reported
- Wet weather has elevated potential quality challenges
- The Florida iceberg season has concluded
- Mexican stocks are steadily crossing into South Texas
- California’s Huron season is winding down; all suppliers will move to Salinas by month’s end
- Salinas and Santa Maria Valley’s production numbers will continue rising through the next several weeks
- Elevated prices and limited supplies are forecast until Salinas and Santa Maria harvesting is fully underway (typically early May)
