• Growers planted additional acreage to account for the lower yields expected during this time of the season; however, unfavorable growing conditions over the past two months exacerbated volume losses
• Elevated daytime temperatures, combined with higher-than-average nighttime temperatures, have lowered yields per acre and accelerated onion growth
• Expect high prices through September
