UPDATE: MIXED BERRIES

Mixed berry supplies remain tight. Blueberries will be the most challenged over the next 2 weeks.

 

Blueberries

  • Production in the Pacific Northwest growing region is wrapping up
  • Import shipments are experiencing vessel delays & unloading challenges at the ports
  • Stocks will be extremely tight next week
  • Supplies are expected to increase in late September when production ramps up in Peru and Baja, Mexico

Raspberries

  • California is currently the main growing region
  • Supplies are diminishing; markets are climbing
  • Mexico will become the main growing region in late September; supplies will increase

Blackberries

  • California is currently the main growing region
  • Supplies will steadily decline into early October; pricing will strengthen
  • Mexico will become the main growing region in late October; stocks will increase as the Mexican season ramps up
