The lime market is firming as weather, quality, and sizing challenges tighten availability, especially on No. 1 fruit and smaller sizes. Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Limes are available.

Mexico

• Veracruz has experienced rain, heat, and humidity which has slowed harvests and increasing quality defects
  • Growers have increased grading due to oil spotting and skin breakdown
  • #2 grades are most available
• Additional grading is limiting true U.S. No. 1 supply and adding cost throughout the chain
• Smaller sizes, especially 230- and 250-count fruit, remain limited
• Expect higher markets over the next two weeks

Colombia

• Colombian supplies are helping offset declining Mexican crossings
• Consistent supply should provide some relief
• Overall markets remain firm

Hawaii

• No major supply changes are expected
• Regional availability remains limited compared with Mexico and Colombia
