Category 1 Hurricane Lorena, currently off the western side of the Baja Peninsula, is bringing heavy rain and sustained winds of 75mph to the region over the next 24 hours. Forecasters predict the storm will weaken over cooler Pacific waters and down grade to a tropical storm as it crosses the Peninsula on Friday.
