Green leaf prices are steady to slightly higher; supply levels vary from grower to grower. The iceberg market has peaked, and will decline this week as supplies increase and supplemental processor demand weakens. Romaine markets are inching lower due to increasing supplies.

• Markon First Crop (MFC) Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine Lettuces are available; Markon Best Available (MBA) is being substituted when needed due to low weights
• Overall quality is good; fluctuating density and head size, insect pressure, and internal burn are present in some lots
• Impatiens Necrotic Spot Virus (INSV) remains an industry problem, but is easily avoided at harvest; yields have not been significantly impacted
• Expect weaker iceberg and romaine markets over the next two weeks; green leaf will remain steady to slightly higher
