Markets have escalated; the Arizona/California desert season is ending. Markon Essentials (ESS) Cauliflower is limited; packer label is being substituted as needed.

• Most growers will wrap up harvesting in Yuma, Arizona and Imperial California by the end of this week
• The shift to the Salinas and Santa Maria Valleys has started and will continue through April 21, though the majority of new plantings remain behind schedule
• Quality will be average, at best, as earlier fields have endured inclement weather during plant development; spotting, ricing, and inconsistent size will become more prevalent through April
• Limited West Coast supplies will keep markets high until production ramps up in late April to early May
