Supplies have diminished in the Salinas and Santa Maria valleys of California as transition approaches, driving markets higher.

• Widespread pin rot continues to affect appearance and shelf life of heads
• Cooler weather, especially low nighttime temps, and rain in the forecast for both growing regions this week will slow head maturation and could increase occurrence of mildew/mold in finished packs
• Expect elevated markets until mid-November as Arizona supplies become available
