UPDATE: BRUSSELS SPROUTS

August 14, 2026

Brussels sprout markets continue to climb; strong demand and insect pressure are impacting harvestable yields. California production is ongoing.

  • Markon First Crop (MFC) and Ready-Set-Serve (RSS) Brussels Sprouts are available
  • Harvests continue across the Salinas and Santa Maria growing regions
  • Insect pressure, including diamondback moth activity, is reducing yields in some fields
  • Pest pressure is expected to persist through early fall, limiting yield potential in some production areas
  • Demand has strengthened, contributing to rising markets and tightening stocks
  • Supplies remain adequate; all sizes are readily available
  • Quality is very good
    • Growers are shipping a wide range of sizes
    • Seeder is minimal
    • Occasional discoloration has been reported in isolated lots
  • Expect elevated pricing through August
