• Rain, humidity, and above-average temperatures have disrupted production and reduced yields in Salinas and Santa Maria
• Elevated insect pressure, premature flowering, browning, and pith are being reported in most lots
• Entire plants are deteriorating, causing drastic yield reductions, as a single plant will normally allow for multiple harvests throughout its lifespan
• Strong demand and minimal supplies are pushing up prices
• Expect supplies to remain scarce for two more weeks, before quality and supplies improve
