The East Coast bell pepper market is rising due to tight supplies in South Georgia, as well as recent rainfall in Central and South Florida that delayed production. In the West, green bell supplies have increased; however, red bells are snug as growers transition to California’s Coachella region. Green Bells

• California volume is increasing in Coachella, California

• Western Mexico is expected to start harvesting in mid-November
• Recent rainfall in Florida and Georgia has reduced supplies across the East Coast
  • The East Coast bell pepper market continues to strengthen and is expected to remain elevated over the next several weeks

  • Quality ranges from fair to good

Red Bells

• California supplies are snug as transitions will occur over the next two weeks from coastal regions to Coachella
• Stocks are tight in Central Mexico (crossing into South Texas)
• Canadian greenhouse production is inconsistent due to fewer daylight hours and cloudy weather
• Expect higher prices over the next two weeks
