East Coast production continues to ramp up in Georgia and Florida; supplies are increasing. In the West, green bell yields are up, but reds remain limited. Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Green and Red Bell Peppers are available.

Green Bells

• California supplies are slowly increasing as the Coachella, California season is ramping up
  • Small sizes dominate early harvests, but extra-large peppers will become more plentiful in the coming weeks
  • Quality is excellent
  • Expect markets to ease over the next few weeks
• Western Mexico is on track to begin harvesting in mid-November
• East Coast production continues to expand
  • The South Georgia season is underway
  • Florida volume is low, but will increase through November
  • The market is active; availability is somewhat limited due to seasonal harvest transitions
  • Choice-grade supplies are limited
  • Quality is very good

Red Bells

• Expect tight red bell supplies through November until California growers transition to the Coachella region in two to three weeks
• Stocks are limited out of Central Mexico (crossing into South Texas)
• Canadian greenhouse production has fallen due to reduced daylight
• Expect higher prices over the next two weeks
