The Salinas growing region is anticipating rainfall on Saturday morning, April 16, with total rainfall of under a tenth inch. Partially cloudy days are forecast through Wednesday, April 22, and then light showers for Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24.

This rain events could potentially create some harvesting and quality challenges such as:

• Delayed harvesting and production
• Wet and muddy field conditions
• Bottom rot
• Mildew pressure
