UPDATE: RAINFALL IN THE SOUTHEAST

May 29, 2026

The Southeast is expecting heavy rainfall over the weekend, potentially causing flash floods, but also bringing drought relief.

  • Rain is forecast for the Southeast this weekend
    • Flash flooding may develop in certain areas
    • Affected regions include Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee
  • Flash flooding is not of concern in the growing areas Markon sources (Florida Panhandle, South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina)
    • Rainfall in these regions is welcome due to the current drought conditions
    • Although harvests are subject to these storms, growers are confident production will not be interrupted, and all orders will be filled
  • Markon will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates
