Lime prices will be higher next week due to less supplies and stronger demand. The market will remain elevated until new spring production begins in April.
- Production from Mexico typically decreases during the winter growing season (November through April)
- Increased holiday demand will push up prices
- Sufficient supplies are forecast; supplies won’t be as short as in past years
- Recent weather has been ideal in the growing region of Veracruz, but any cold weather and rain will affect production in March and April
