“I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and have spent most of my life in and around Chicago. Although I love the city, I have always been drawn to ranching and farming. Over the years, this attraction to agriculture has been strengthened as I have met so many hard-working growers. Produce evokes emotions and is very personal for many people. Chefs are passionate about serving the best produce they can. Growers are passionate about growing the best produce they can. I am privileged to be able to build relationships that bridge the gap between growers and chefs which makes this job a true blessing.”
“As a young child, my grandmother had a garden in our backyard and while she was cooking, she would ask me to go pick jalapenos, tomatoes, and squash. That garden made a big impression on me and my life. I believe that is where my passion for food and fellowship developed. On Sundays our family would gather at my grandparents’ home to eat and laugh. I believe that no matter what happens in life there is no better feeling than gathering around the dinner table with your family and friends.”
