“I always wanted to learn how to cook. Not just basic food, but new and interesting vegetables combined with different kinds of spices, to make my food unique. The Culinary Academy at Rancho Cielo has opened my eyes to all that you can do with food and the opportunities that cooking can provide. I used to think that some foods were useless, but now I know that you can always find ways to create new recipes and try new foods together to make something great. I love food. Food makes the world a happier place. Get in the kitchen and try something new!”
“As a young child, my grandmother had a garden in our backyard and while she was cooking, she would ask me to go pick jalapenos, tomatoes, and squash. That garden made a big impression on me and my life. I believe that is where my passion for food and fellowship developed. On Sundays our family would gather at my grandparents’ home to eat and laugh. I believe that no matter what happens in life there is no better feeling than gathering around the dinner table with your family and friends.”
