Chef Demetrio Marquez, Reinhart Foodservice
Demetrio Marquez, a.k.a Chef D, is the Business Development/Corporate Chef of Reinhart Foodservice’s New Orleans Division. A native of Texas, he has over 30 years of professional culinary experience.
Throughout his career, Chef D has worked for several major hotel and resort corporations within Texas, including the Radisson, Renaissance, Sheraton, Hyatt, Loews, and Stouffers, as well as Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos such as Boomtown, the Hard Rock, and the Beau Rivage.
For many years, Chef D owned and operated Chile Poblano, his successful Southwestern-style restaurant in downtown Ocean Springs, Missouri. During this time he catered for many country music celebrities, including the Mandrel family and Loretta Lynn.
Chef D is proficient in many types of cuisine, including World Fusion, Pan-Asian, Classical French, Central and South American, Italian, and Regional American. He is also a ranked competitor in many American Chefs Federation food challenges.
In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Heather and his four children: Martin, Sophia, Kobe, and Micah.
