Meet Chef Chris Casson

Growing up on an Illinois farm as the youngest of eight children, Chris Casson never dreamed he would one day be a chef…yet looking back, his constant exposure to the outdoors, animals, crops, and family meals served as an excellent foundation for what followed.

Casson went on to graduate in the top five percent of his American Culinary Federation class. It was here that he combined his passion for wholesome ingredients with the classical training he needed to progress to top-rated Colorado restaurants including The Flagstaff House, Restaurant Kevin Taylor, and Ellyington’s in the historic Brown Palace Hotel. Along the way, he entertained famous folks such as Billy Graham, Bruce Springsteen, Ellen DeGeneres, and both Presidents Bush.

It was as a chef that Casson began to develop a relationship with Shamrock Foods Company. For over ten years, he purchased and relied on their high-quality products. Casson worked so closely with the Shamrock Foods team that he decided to join it as the Chef/Produce Specialist. His passion for produce and utilizing fresh ingredients led him to become the Sales and Marketing Manager for Produce soon after.
